We're totally buggin' — Clueless the Musical is officially open at the Trafalgar Theatre! The West End has seen an influx of movie-to-musical adaptations in recent years, and while I'm always sceptical about how much the format adds beyond mere nostalgia, Clueless makes a genuinely strong case for itself.

The adaptation is smart — it finds the contemporary relevance within the film's 90s bubble without losing the comedy. The score is bright and energetic, the performances uniformly committed, and the production design captures the iconic palette with real flair. A fun, fizzy night at the theatre.
