Sounds & Stage is independent. No theatre, producer or ticket seller owns us or decides what we write. That only works if readers help pay for it.
Our first goal is £1,500. It helps keep the site running and independent for the year: hosting, our email service, and the time it takes to keep the show and theatre guides accurate.
Stretch goal: £5,000
If we reach £5,000 we can go further: pay writers and photographers for more original reviews and features, cover more regional and touring theatre, and keep the whole site free of sponsored content that blurs the line with editorial.
What independence means
- Donations never buy coverage and do not change what we write.
- We do not accept money from the companies we cover in return for favourable treatment.
