I've been lucky enough to have access to review the streamed on-demand version of Bonnie & Clyde recorded at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Seeing the pro shot also marks the first time I have witnessed the delight of Bonnie & Clyde, although I have previously reviewed productions of similar high quality.
The recording captures a production of stunning theatrical force. The leads have chemistry that crackles through the screen, the score is among the finest in contemporary musical theatre, and the staging makes full use of the Drury Lane's extraordinary dimensions. A masterclass in recorded theatre.
