Legendary pop icon and actor Jason Donovan has made a cameo appearance in Emmerdale that will transmit later this year. Filming has taken place on the Emmerdale set in Leeds, where Jason performed one of his classic hits to a packed out Woolpack as a surprise for Lydia Dingle, played by Karen Blick.
Known for hits including "Too Many Broken Hearts", "Especially For You" (with Kylie Minogue) and "Every Day (I Love You More)", Jason Donovan remains one of the most beloved pop icons of the late 1980s and early 1990s, and has also enjoyed a significant stage career including stints in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The appearance is set to be a joyful surprise for Emmerdale fans and a treat for those who grew up with his music.
