Marlowe Theatre Writers' Room Festival Returns — April/May 2026
New plays by Simon Stephens and Penelope Skinner headline the Marlowe Theatre's Writers' Room Festival — a packed programme of new writing from Canterbury.
Canterbury's main theatre, named after Christopher Marlowe, who was born in the city. It stages touring musicals, plays, ballet, opera, comedy and the annual pantomime, so it is the busiest stop for visiting West End tours in east Kent. Check the venue's own website for current listings, prices and how to book.
