Following the success of the current series of Big Brother, ITV today announced the commission of Big Brother: The Reunion (produced by Initial, part of Banijay UK) a 1 x 60” special coming to ITV2 and ITVX on Friday 6th November.
Big Brother returned to screens in September for its fourth instalment on the network and instantly captivated audiences with a diverse and dynamic cast whose individual personalities, evolving relationships and unpredictable antics provided no shortage of drama.
The Big Brother brand has clocked up a colossal 202m streams on ITVX with the current series exceededing 37m streams alone, up almost 14m streams (+58%) compared to Big Brother and Big Brother: Late & Live at this point last year. Overall, the series is up 68% for 16-34s.
Hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, Big Brother: The Reunion will bring together this year’s cast for one last time. Set against the unmistakable backdrop of the Big Brother house, the series’ stars will reunite to revisit the moments, friendships and fallouts that defined their time in the house. Expect big revelations, unfinished business and plenty of drama as they look back on the moments that had the nation talking and reveal where they stand now.
David Smyth, Commissioner, Entertainment & Reality, ITV said, “Big Brother has created some of the most iconic and talked-about moments in reality TV this year, and we’re looking forward to reuniting our Housemates to reflect on their unforgettable journeys. Viewers can expect plenty of surprises, laughter, and perhaps a few scores to settle.”
