Miranda Priestly has taken over London's West End at the Dominion Theatre! The Devil Wears Prada the musical has officially opened, based on the iconic 2006 comedy-drama film. The story follows Andy, an aspiring journalist who lands a job as assistant to the world's most feared fashion editor — and the transformation that follows.
Elton John's score is characteristically lush, with several numbers that stop the show completely. The production design is spectacular — a fashion world rendered in sequins, sharp angles and breathtaking stage pictures. Vanessa Williams is ferociously commanding as Miranda. The West End's fastest-ever selling show absolutely deserves its audience.
