Ever imagined watching five drag queens play Princess Diana and retell her story through banger pop songs? No? Neither did I. But now imagining is no longer necessary, because The Diana Mixtape at Outernet brings it to life.

The show feels like SIX had a very glamorous, slightly chaotic baby with a drag revue. Each performer inhabits a different facet of Diana's public and private persona — the ingénue, the icon, the rebel, the mother, the woman — and the writing is smart enough to find genuine poignancy beneath the sequins.

The Outernet's cavernous screens make for a spectacular visual backdrop, and the sound design is immaculate. Irreverent, touching and thoroughly entertaining.
