LOUS AND THE YAKUZA RETURNS WITH "CLOSE MY EYES", A MAJESTIC BALLAD FEATURING SUKI WATERHOUSE

LOUS AND THE YAKUZA RETURNS WITH "CLOSE MY EYES", A MAJESTIC BALLAD FEATURING SUKI WATERHOUSE

Disclosure. Based on a press release from Carey, Emma. The claims and figures are the company's own.

TODAY, LOUS AND THE YAKUZA RELEASES "CLOSE MY EYES" FEATURING BRITISH ARTIST SUKI WATERHOUSE, BRINGING TOGETHER TWO OF ALTERNATIVE POP’S MOST SINGULAR VOICES.

Lous and the Yakuza is back, and she is turning the page. On "Close My Eyes", the Congolese-Belgian artist moves towards a warmer, more organic alt-pop sound: stripped-back instrumentation, dreamy textures, melodic basslines, ambient harmonies and touches of synth-pop. This is Lous at her most emotional.

The song lingers in the aftermath of a breakup, holding on to the memory of a lost love and the ache that stays long after it is gone. Two voices answer each other throughout: Lous and Suki Waterhouse.

A singer, songwriter and actress, Suki Waterhouse has become one of the most distinctive voices in indie pop, reaching an even wider audience through her role in Daisy Jones & The Six. Bringing together two of alternative pop’s most singular artists, "Close My Eyes" confirms Lous’ international reach. The track was produced by Fred Ball (Rihanna, SZA), Jeff Shum and Daniel Chae.

Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and raised between Rwanda and Belgium, Lous has built one of the most singular paths in European pop. Since "Dilemme", her songs have travelled far beyond Belgium and France, from the COLORS stage and NPR’s Tiny Desk to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, from tours with Coldplay and Gorillaz to collaborations with Joey Bada$$ and Sfera Ebbasta.

The single comes with a visual capsule directed by Lous herself, the first piece of a wider story she will unveil in the months ahead.

"Close My Eyes" feat. Suki Waterhouse is out now on all platforms.
